Frankfort High School Academic Super Bowl Team Secures State Competition Slot

The Frankfort High School Academic Super Bowl English Team showed up big at their area competition to secure a spot at the State competition, securing the title as the first team to advance to State since 2019 for Frankfort.

The Academic Super Bowl English Team of Kiarra Bazan, Kiya Rios and Kenzi Jagger placecd first in the area competition on Tuesday, April 16 to advance to the State competition, which is the first time that a Frankfort High School team has advanced to the next round since 2019.

The team was tasked with answering 25 different questions of varying difficulty, and the team correctly answered 22 questions to secure their advancement in the competition. Out of 70 class 2 schools in Indiana, the Frankfort High School team placed fifth overall, which combined with their total score to qualify the team for the State competition.

The team will be compete once again on May 4 against the other four qualifying class 2 schools at Purdue University.
