Frankfort High School has announced the Frankfort High School Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year.
Frankfort High School announced that the recipient of the award this year is social studies teacher Cormac Jewell. Community members and staff have stated that Jewell proves to be an excellent teacher with a wide range of knowledge regarding national and world events, and his influence extends beyond the Frankfort High School walls as other educators in the community have commented on his accomplishments.
Reading Interventionist Paraprofessional for Clinton Prairie Elementary School Kristen Wertz commented about Jewell’s impact on the community as a fellow educator.
“Well deserved,” Wertz wrote. “All of his students love him, and he’s so much fun to work with.”
Principal Cindy Long, Assistant Principal Martin Hale and Assistant Principal Paul Luebcke surprised Jewell with the honor alongside an oversized mug that reads “I’m kind of a big deal.”
