Frankfort High School DECA Students Earn State and International Recognition

Students from Frankfort High School are celebrating major achievements following the 80th Indiana DECA State Conference, where members of the school’s DECA chapter earned top honors and statewide recognition.

Chapter president Lily Rockhold placed second in the Financial Consulting event, highlighting the strong performance of the school’s business and marketing students during the statewide competition.

In addition to the individual award, the Frankfort High School DECA chapter received several prestigious honors at the conference. The chapter was awarded the DECA School-Based Enterprise (SBE) Gold Level Re-Certification, an international recognition that acknowledges excellence in student-run school businesses.

The chapter also earned the Thrive Level distinction in all three categories of the DECA Chapter Campaigns, a recognition given to chapters that demonstrate outstanding engagement in community service, promotional activities, and membership growth.

School officials noted that Frankfort’s DECA chapter was one of only two chapters in the state to achieve this combination of honors, underscoring the dedication and hard work of the students involved.

DECA programs help prepare students for careers in business, marketing, finance, and hospitality by combining classroom learning with real-world business experiences and competitive events.

The Community Schools of Frankfort praised the students’ achievements and celebrated the success of the program.
