Frankfort High School Hosting Drug Take Back Event

The Frankfort Police Department and Clinton County Sheriff’s Office will partner with the Frankfort High School on Saturday, October 6, to host a prescription drug take-back event in the parking lot at Frankfort High School. Officers will be collecting from 9 a.m. to noon.

According to Chief Troy Bacon, “The idea to host a drug take-back event was student driven. Caden Stine, a Frankfort High School Student, met with school administration, Sheriff Ward and me to discuss his plan and vision for drug take-back event at the high school. It’s wonderful to see young people in our community stepping up and taking action”.

“To thank people for properly disposing of their unused medications, we will be handing out Burger King gift coupons while supplies last. We thank the Frankfort Burger King for collaborating with us during this important community event”, said Bacon.

According to Sheriff Jeff Ward, prescription drugs will be accepted in all types of packages. No liquids, needles, syringes or IV fluids will be accepted.

Frankfort High School is located at 1 S Maish Rd.
