Frankfort Lady Hot Dogs Fall To Rossville Hornets In Kitchen Classic

The Frankfort Lady Hot Dogs maintain high spirits after a loss to the Rossville Hornets during the Indiana Kitchen Classic on Dec. 23.

The Lady Hot Dogs were slotted into the 5th place game against the Hornets after their win against the Taylor Titans in the Indiana Kitchen Classic. According to the team, “the Lady Hot Dogs gave a very spirited effort in the loss, playing the second half to a tie and getting to the Free Throw line 21 times, which is a season high.”

The game ended with a score of 28-40 with the Hornets taking it home. The score was led by Ella McAtee with nine and Vannesssa Guardado with seven. On the glass were led by Vannessa Gaurdado with 12 and Saira Flores with six. On the defensive side, Vannessa Gaurdado and Ashley Vasquez-Rivera each cumulated three steals, and Ashley Vasquez-Rivera and Jasmine Rivera each blocked a shot.

The Lady Hot Dogs finished 6th in the tournament, which is an improvement upon last season.
