Frankfort Library Beginning Limited Services Next Week

Beginning Monday, June 15 the Frankfort Community Public Library and branches in Michigantown, Mulberry, and Rossville will be open to the public for limited service.  Open hours will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.– 2 p.m.  Tuesday and Thursday the library will be open from 3–7 p.m.  The book drops will now be open 24/7. Curbside service will still be offered at this time.

During this phase of our re-opening, library patrons will be allowed to enter the buildings to browse the collections, select items, and check them out.  We encourage you to “Grab and Go” and keep your visit short.  The seating areas, meeting rooms, and Harry’s Coffee Bar will be closed.  The Teen and Children’s Departments will only be open for selecting materials. Toys, games, and computers will not be available in these areas.  Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Patrons are encouraged to deposit materials in one of the outside book drops.  Wearing a mask is highly encouraged.  The library has masks available for patrons who need one.

The computer lab will be open for one-hour sessions.  One-on-one computer lessons will not be available at this time.  Personal assistance at computer stations will be limited or not available due to social distancing requirements.

At the Frankfort Library there will be marked lines where patrons will be queued to check-out their materials so that social distancing guidelines may be observed.

Please call ahead to make a reservation to do genealogy research. A single genealogy computer, one microfilm station, and one research table will be available to reserve for one hour sessions.  Pulling court files and on-demand copying of genealogy materials is not available at this time.

Restrictions and limitations are hard but as we work to protect the staff and our community members we will get through this.  If you have any questions, please call the library at (765) 654-8746.
