The Frankfort Community Public Library enrichment committee hosted a “Crazy Hat Day” to help promote the Giving Tree this year that provides hats, scarves, gloves and other winter essentials to those in need during the winter season.
Yesterday, employees were tasked with wearing a hat and a sticker that said, “ask me about my hat,” ultimately hosting a contest for who wore the craziest hat with Jessica being voted as the winner.
The contest was in support of the Giving Tree, which is located in front of the library. Donations may be dropped off at the circulation desk, and items can be store bought or homemade, but the library has asked that donated items be unused.
The library will continue to stock the Giving Tree area with supplies as long as stock lasts and the cold weather lasts.
