The Friends of the Frankfort Community Public Library announced that it has been awarded a North Central Health Services grant administered by The Arts Federation to supplement cabinets and seating in the Frankfort Community Public Library’s Art Studio as well as furnish a demonstration table.
The grant is also expected to fund slat walls, which are expected to enhance the circulating art collection at the library. The additions of expanded storage are expected to increase the efficiency of arts programming by situating all supplies in a single location for easier access during classes, and the refined art display is expected to allow the entire circulating collection to be presented at once to provide patrons with greater accessibility.
The cabinetry is expected to be installed during the month of February, which will be followed by work on the circulating collection area. Patrons may experience slight disruptions to library spaces of available of the circulating collection once the work begins.
“The Frankfort Community Public Library and Friends of the Frankfort Library would like to express our gratitude to North Central Health Services and The Arts Federation for their investment in the arts and culture of Clinton County,” the organization released.
