Frankfort Man Arrested for Assault at Polling Site

DOUGLAS EARL

On Saturday, Deputies responded to the voting center in Mulberry for a disturbance.  A man had entered the polling location, wanting to vote.  The subject did not have the required valid ID and was turned away by poll workers.

The male then began walking around areas within the building where voting machines were, and again, was told to leave.  After several attempts to get him to leave, the subject began striking two workers.  Douglas Earl, 48, of Frankfort was arrested for Battery resulting in bodily injury and Disorderly Conduct.

Formal charges are pending from the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office.
