A Frankfort man was arrested this week for allegedly dealing counterfeit pills that contained high amounts of fentanyl, which could cause death in those who would consume the pills.
On Wednesday, Feb. 26, Frankfort Police officers arrested Joel Servin Jr., 21, on a warrant for two counts of dealing a narcotic drug. The warrant was reportedly the result of an investigation by the department Narcotics Unit with assistance from detectives at the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
Frankfort Police Chief Scott Shoemaker released a statement regarding the pills, urging community members to be weary of consuming them as the department continues to look toward rehabilitative solutions for those experiencing substance use.
“I urge people not to consume these counterfeit pills,†stated Chief Scott Shoemaker. “Just one of these pills can kill a person.â€
Servin was out on bond from a prior arrest for dealing in July 2024.
