Frankfort Man Arrested In Attempted Robbery Of Fresitas Artisan Ice Cream Tuesday Evening

The Frankfort Police Department announced the arrest of a 22-year-old Frankfort man following an investigation into an attempted robbery of Fresitas Artisan Ice Cream and More in downtown Frankfort Tuesday evening.

On Nov. 19, just before 7:15 p.m., Frankfort Police responded to a report of a robbery at 61 W. Washington St. in Frankfort on initial reports that the suspect had displayed a gun and demanded money. Once the suspect left the building, law enforcement was contacted to respond to the scene.

The clothing and gun, which was revealed to be a BB gun, were reportedly located, and two people in the area were detained but eventually released.

A subsequent investigation by detectives, crime scene investigators and patrol officers resulted in the arrest of Troy Buhn, 22, of Frankfort yesterday, Nov. 20. The requested charge for the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office to consider is attempted robbery.

The departments stated that no items were taken during the attempt, and no injuries occurred.

Frankfort Police officers were reportedly assisted on the scene by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Natural Resources.
