Frankfort High School named Jeff Irwin the new athletic director, taking over for Ed Niehaus, who announced his retirement after 42 years at Frankfort.
Irwin most recently was the athletic director at Babcock Neighborhood High School in Florida. Before that, Irwin served as the AD at Southmont High School, Western Boone High School, and Lawrence Central High School.
Irwin brings over 20 years of athletic administration experience and holds a bachelor’s and masters degree in education from Purdue University.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jeff Irwin as our new Athletic Director at Frankfort High School,” the school announced on Facebook. “Jeff is dedicated to building a positive and competitive environment for all our student-athletes. We’re excited for Jeff to shape programs that build community pride, ensure every student athlete and athletic program has the tools to thrive, and elevate our athletic program to new heights.”
