Frankfort Operation Spring Clean-Up Week Set For April 28 Through May 3

The City of Frankfort Street Department has announced its upcoming Operation Spring Clean-Up week-long event that offers residents the opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items from April 28 through May 3.

The spring clean-up will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from April 28 through May 2 and 8 a.m. to noon on May 3 for the community to rid their home of unwanted items as they clean for the spring season.

Upon arrival at the Street Department located at 905 Burlington Ave. in Frankfort, residents must show identification at the gate to participate.

“We urge residents to take advantage of Operation Spring Clean-Up to remove unwanted items,” Brian Killman, Street Superintendent, said. “It’s a great chance to declutter and help keep Frankfort looking its best.”

Residents of the City of Frankfort will be able to drop off two pickup truckloads of bulk items, including large items, such as couches, mattresses, box springs, appliances, carpet, chairs, dressers and TVs. No trailers will be permitted.

Items not accepted include tires, remodeling or building materials, lumber, concrete, drywall and roofing shingles.
