Frankfort Parks Superintendent Travis Sheets has announced some of the special activities that will be going on in TPA Park during the upcoming holidays.
The TPA Park Festival of Lights are now on and remain on nightly until Tuesday, January 1. Hours are from dusk until 9 p.m. The Parks Department has partnered with Kaspar Broadcasting once again. As you drive through the display, tune your radio to 1570 AM and 96.9 FM for the WILO Christmas Music Box.
Santa’s Kitchen will offer a variety of homemade soups, sandwiches and desserts. It will be open from 5-9 p.m. nightly from Monday, November 26 until Sunday, December 23.
The Parks Department is also scheduling family entertainment each evening from 6-9 p.m. in the heated big-top tent. To reserve a time slot, call 765-659-3422.
New this year, as a result of higher volumes of traffic, is a one-way traffic flow pattern with no more oncoming headlights to deal with. Follow the signs as some entrances and exits are temporarily closed for the holiday season.
There are designated parking areas near the basketball courts and softball diamond along with central parking at the concession stand. Again, follow the signage.
