The City of Frankfort Parks & Recreation Department has announced the return of its popular “Movies in the Park” series for the 2026 summer season at Prairie Creek Park, offering families a series of free outdoor movie nights under the stars.
All movies will begin at dusk, with free admission and free popcorn provided for attendees.
2026 Movie Schedule
This year’s lineup includes a mix of family-friendly favorites:
- June 5: How to Train Your Dragon (2025 live-action version)
- July 10: Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey
- August 21: Zootopia 2
- September 25: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
Organizers encourage guests to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and even a picnic from a downtown restaurant to enjoy during the showings.
