Frankfort Police Department Reaches Fully-Staffed Status Once Again

The Frankfort Police Department saw a promotion and a new hire to bring it back to its fully-staffed status.

On Tuesday evening, Oct. 15, the Frankfort Board of Public Works and Safety approved the promotion of Detective Eric Booth to Lieutenant and the hiring of Collin Holzmeyer as a police officer to help bring the department back toward its fully-staffed status.

Lt. Booth has served the community as a Frankfort Police Officer since 1994, which led to his selection to supervise the department’s criminal investigations unit that is responsible for investigating serious and complex cases for the City of Frankfort. Lt. Booth will replace Major Jason Albaugh, who is set to retire Friday, Oct. 18.

Officer Holzmeyer’s hiring officially brings the department back to its full-staff status. Holzmeyer is a 2020 graduate of Princeton High School and a 2024 graduate of Purdue University. He will assume his role as an officer on Oct. 21.

“We are honored to have had Collin choose Frankfort PD,” the department released.
