Frankfort Police Join Students for “Walk to School Day” Event

Officers from the Frankfort Police Department took part in a community-focused event this morning, joining students and local partners for the end-of-the-year “Walk to School Day.”

The event was organized by the Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition and aimed to encourage students to stay active while promoting safe routes to school. Officers walked alongside children as they made their way to class, helping reinforce the importance of pedestrian safety and community engagement.

This event is something they look forward to each year, as it provides a chance to connect with students in a positive and supportive environment.

The department also expressed appreciation for its ongoing partnerships with Healthy Communities and the Community Schools of Frankfort, noting that collaboration plays a key role in fostering a safer and healthier future for local youth.

Events like “Walk to School Day” highlight the importance of community involvement and serve as a reminder of the shared responsibility in keeping children safe while encouraging healthy habits.
