Frankfort Police Major Retires, Assumes Role Of Mulberry Town Marshal

The Frankfort Police Department announced the retirement of Major Jason Albaugh as he officially celebrated his retirement on Friday, Oct. 18 from the department.

Albaugh has transitioned into his role as the Mulberry Town Marshal and will continue to impact the Clinton County community and beyond as a teacher in the criminal justice field, which he has done for over a decade.

Albaugh began his career with the Frankfort Police Department on Feb. 20, 1996 and has been instrumental in creating the first Crime Scene Investigator Unit. He also helped to modernize the property and evidence room, transforming the room from a closet upstairs at the old police department to a proper, organized property and evidence room.

“He has worked countless hours, solving a multitude of cases throughout his many years as a Detective,” the department released. “We are very grateful for his 28 years of service to the City of Frankfort.”
