Frankfort Police to Host Coffee With a Cop Day on October 2

Community members are invited to join Frankfort police officers for the Fourth Annual National Coffee with a Cop Day at McDonald’s Restaurant at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2 for informal conversations to build relationships, discuss public safety and enjoy a hot cup of coffee together.

According to Police Chief Troy Bacon, “Coffee with a Cop is a unique way for the community and police officers can get together in a relaxed and informal way to discuss community concerns, crime, build trust and strengthen relationships. This event reflects our belief and commitment that community engagement is important to us.”

A national initiative supported by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, Coffee with a Cop aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time.

McDonalds Restaurant is located at 1603 E Wabash Street.
