Frankfort Street Department Facility Closed Friday

The Frankfort Street Department facility will be closed to the public all day Friday, October 9, while necessary repairs are completed on the department’s entrance gate, weather permitting.

Because the facility will not be accessible, residents will be unable to drop off brush or yard waste, used oil, or trash Friday. The Wildcat Solid Waste District’s drop-off location at the facility will also be inaccessible, meaning paint and electronics cannot be dropped off Friday.

The Street Department itself will continue operating Friday. Normal trash collection and other daily services throughout the city will continue as scheduled.

The Street Department will also be closed Monday, October 12, for the City-recognized holiday. Monday’s normal trash collection will still take place. A small crew will collect trash in the southwest quadrant, and residents on Monday’s route should have their trash toters out and ready for collection by 7 a.m.

The facility will reopen and resume normal business hours Tuesday, October 13.
