The Frankfort Street Department has announced that trash services and curbside recycling will not run tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Wednesday, Jan. 1 due to the New Year holiday.
A double pickup will occur today, Monday, Dec. 30 for both Monday and Tuesday’s routes. Trash carts must be placed on the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure pickup as routes will be running differently due to the double pickup. Routes later in the week will operate normally.
The department further released that recycling will not be picked up on Wednesday, with the next recycling date set for Wednesday, Jan. 8. The department stated that due to the large quantity of boxes and other recyclable materials distributed during the holiday season, the Recycling Center will be open from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the department aside from Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
