Frankfort Student Inducted Into Indiana Connections Academy NHS

The Indiana Connections Academy, which stands as a tuition-free, full-time public virtual school, recently inducted more than 30 students into its National Honor Society for the 2024-2025 school year during an in-person ceremony, which included the induction of Anastacia Smith from Frankfort.

The induction intends to recognize high school students between the grades of 10 and 12 who have demonstrated the four pillars of the organizations, including scholarship, service, leadership and character.

Scholarship requires students to make a commitment to learning and growing on an education path that stems from the desire to contribute to the world in a positive way by building their knowledge, skills and talent.

Service requires students to seek out and engage in meaningful acts of service that calls for a “service mindset.”

Leadership requires students to exhibit leadership skills by being resourceful, excellent problem solvers and idea contributors while building upon service.

Character requires students to be perseverant, respectful and honest while valuing diverse cultures and building relationships that reflect both love of self and concern for others.
