Large portions of the city of Frankfort lost power Sunday evening for nearly two hours. USB General Manager Todd Corrie says they had just put as new substation online last week and the load was too much for it as it was currently set up. Corrie says crews worked into the night to finish rewiring damaged areas. Corrie says this is the second power outage in as many weeks. The first one was with Duke Energy which was fixed, also in a few hours.
