Lafayette Central Catholic cancelled early Friday morning and luckily the Hot Dogs were able to pick up 5A McCutcheon High School. We traveled to McCutcheon and both the first and second string guys played really tough.
The varsity played McCutcheon to a tie. Both teams scored three touchdowns. Sam Michael threw touchdown passes to Jade Ayers and Kyle Earl, while Riley Goodnight added a rushing touchdown for the Hot Dogs.
The second string added two passing touchdowns from Doug Wood to Braxton Wood and Westin Laverty. Bryce McDonald and Andric Mullinax each picked off the McCutcheon QB. Layne Todd, Ethan Cook, Vlad Carreas Lantigua, and Charlie Garcia all contributed on five QB sacks.
The Hot Dogs open the regular season on Friday at home against Clinton Central. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
