Frankfort Woman Sentenced to 45 Years in Murder of Great Aunt

A Frankfort woman will spend the next 45 years in prison for the murder of her great aunt.

Linda Decker, 69, was sentenced Monday after a Clinton County judge accepted her plea agreement. Prosecutors agreed to accept a a minimum sentence of 45 years. The advisory sentence for this charge is 55 years.

Decker was found guilty of the murder of 96-year-old Betty Wann in September of 2016. An autopsy showed Wann died from sharp, blunt force injuries to her head, face, chest and neck.

Decker is required to serve at least 75 percent of her prison sentence.
