Franklin W. Myers

Franklin W. Myers, 77, of Mulberry, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at IU Health in Lafayette.  He was born October 19, 1940, in Ross Township, Clinton County, to Walter W. and Alberta (Osmun) Myers.  On June 23, 1963, he married Marie Pellam in Battle Ground; she survives.

In 1960, he graduated from East Tippecanoe High School.  He had lived in Tippecanoe County before moving to Mulberry in 1963.  Frank had worked as a janitor at Monitor High School, in maintenance at Clinton Prairie Schools, and later at Lafayette Quality Products for 37 years before retiring in 2000.  He was a member of Mulberry United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking and cooking.  Frank and Marie participated in many craft shows over the years.

In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his children, Craig (Laura) Myers, of Cumming, GA, Clint Myers, of Frankfort, and Gary (Deann) Myers, of Rossville; grandchildren, Chris King, Donnie King, Bradley Myers, and Joshua Myers; six great grandchildren; brothers, Keith Myers, Don (Sheila) Myers, Harry (Pat) Myers, and Max (Mary) Myers, all of Mulberry, and Glenn (Karen) Myers, of Rogers, AR; and sisters, Martha Fleener, of Florida, and Carol (Larry) Kelley, of Kewanna.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel from 1:00  to 5:00 p.m.  Funeral service in his honor will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Harley Helm officiating.  Burial will follow in Fair Haven Cemetery.  Memorials in Frank’s name may be made to the Mulberry Volunteer Ambulance or Mulberry United Methodist Church.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
