Fredric A. Petty

Fredric A. Petty, 83, of Indianapolis and a former Frankfort resident, died at 6:30 a.m. October 12, 2018 in Hamilton Trace, Fishers, Indiana.  He was born April 30, 1935 in Frankfort, Ind. to Frederick S. & Nell (Alexander) Petty.  He married Judith Schenck on July 11, 1959 in Frankfort and she survives. A 1953 graduate of Frankfort High School, he attended Butler University, then graduated from Purdue University with a degree in history.  He and his father owned and operated Eagle Lumber Dealer Supply Company in Lafayette, Ind.  He and Judy lived in Connecticut, when he was associated with the General Building Supply Company.  Fredric was a member of the 2nd Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, was former president of Lafayette Lions Club, member of Clinton Masonic Lodge #54, Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite, John Purdue Club and Lafayette Elks Club.  He loved his family and grandchildren.

Family:  Wife:  Judy Petty of Indianapolis, Ind., 2 Sons:  Chris F. (Carrie) Petty of Indianapolis, Ind. and Scott W. (Karen) Petty of Liberty Township, Ohio, Sister:  Cynthia (Bruce) Pugh of Greensboro, NC, 4 Grandchildren:  Adam, Parklynn, Reily and Austin Petty.

Funeral Service:

 Private family services will be held.  Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S.
