Healthy Communities of Clinton County is encouraging parents and caregivers to schedule an appointment for its upcoming free Car Seat Clinic on June 22.
The clinic provides an opportunity for families to have their child safety seats inspected by a certified Car Seat Technician to ensure children are traveling safely and securely.
During appointments, technicians will:
- Check that the car seat is the proper fit for a child’s age, height and weight.
- Verify that the seat is installed correctly in the vehicle.
- Demonstrate how to properly secure a child in the seat.
- Answer questions regarding rear-facing and forward-facing seats, harness systems, booster seats, seat belts and seat transitions.
The service is offered free of charge.
While walk-in appointments will be accepted, appointments are preferred. To schedule an appointment, call 765-659-6063 or email info@healthyclintoncounty.org.
Healthy Communities of Clinton County says the clinic is designed to help families gain confidence in using child passenger safety equipment correctly and reduce the risk of injury while traveling.
