Students in grades 6–12 looking for extra help in math have a new (or familiar) resource this school year: the Frankfort Community Public Library’s Homework Help program. The popular tutoring service is held every Monday from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Library’s Teen Department.
The program is completely free, and students are encouraged to bring homework or other math assignments with them. Local educator Jennifer Fitch, who previously taught math at Clinton Prairie and now teaches at Purdue University, will lead the sessions. Fitch says she is thrilled to return and hopes to assist as many students as possible in building confidence and improving their math skills.
The Library is also seeking additional volunteers to join the tutoring team. Anyone interested in helping can apply online at myfcpl.org. For more information, contact Rachel Milburn at rmilburn@myfcpl.org or (765) 654-8746, ext. 1117.
This program provides a great opportunity for students to get one-on-one help, reinforce classroom learning, and gain confidence in math—all in a supportive community setting.
