George L. Clark

George Leonard Clark, 80, of Attica and a former Frankfort resident, died May 24, 2018 at St. Mary’s Healthcare, Lafayette.  Born June 25, 1937 in Paoli, Indiana to Estel Vance & Emma (Martin) Clark.  He married Regenia Eileen Rodarmel on December 28, 1962 and she preceded him in death in February 2000.  He then married Phyllis Buchanan on April 30, 2004 and she survives. Mr. Clark grew up in Horner’s Chapel, Indiana and lived in Fredericksburg, Paoli and Frankfort, Indiana.  A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served for 9 years.  He was a truck driver for 35 years, was owner/operator of his own truck and worked for Beard Industries.  Mr. Clark was a former member of the Hope United Methodist Church and currently a member of Church Alive Worship Center, Lafayette, Ind.

He is survived by: Wife:  Phyllis Clark of Attica, Ind., Daughter:  Darla (Harold) Harper of Frankfort, Ind., Son:  David (Julie) Clark of W. Lafayette, Ind., Step-Daughter:  Jesseca (Doug) Lumley of Attica, Ind., 2 Brothers:  Robert W. Martin of Springville, Ind., and Hershel P. Martin of Ashboro, North Carolina, Step-Sister:  Beulah Darby of Clarksville, Ind., 7 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.  In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Devin and a daughter and son-in-law, Linda & Chuck Benefiel.

Services:

 Visitation will be 10 a.m. -1 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.  Please visit goodwinfuneralhome.com, where you may share a personal message with the family.
