Glen M. Hart

Glen M. Hart, 84, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at IU Arnett in Lafayette.  He was born November 19, 1935 in Clinton County to William Russell and Leoma F. (Hauff) Hart.  He was a 1954 graduate of Mulberry High School and graduated barber school in Arizona where he worked as a barber for a few years.  He served in the United States Army in the 4th Armored Division.  He married Nancy J. Branagin on March 18, 1972, she survives.

Glen worked as a farmer and at Federal Mogul from 1968-2003.  He was a member of Clinton County Historical Society and American Legion Post 0038 of Lafayette.  He enjoyed going to auctions and farm sales events, listening to Elvis, talking with “old-timers,” watching “60 Minutes” every week and watching the weather.  Glen very much enjoyed routines, and one of his favorite routines was having a bowl of ice cream every day.

Along with his wife, Glen is survived by his children, Chrissy Hart of Lafayette, John Hart of Frankfort, Amanda Miller of Frankfort; sisters, Mary Thompson of Rossville and Wilma Tansey of Edwardsburg, MI; nephews, David (Matt Wilson) Thompson of West Des Moines, IA and Tim Tansey of Edwardsburg, MI; niece, Kathy Tansey of South Bend; and granddaughter, Lauren Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Aaron Miller; brother-in-law, Max Thompson and niece Diane Thompson.

Visitation will be held, Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 1pm until the time of the service at 3pm at Genda Funeral Home in Mulberry.  Military rites will be performed by the Clinton County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Society, Clinton County Historical Society, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
