Glenda Kiger

Glenda R. Kiger, 77, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette, IN. She was born on March 11, 1943 to William E. and Edna L. (Bible) Woodruff. She married William Kiger on August 8, 1966. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2018.

Glenda graduated from Rossville High School in 1961. She was a bus driver for over 30 years for Benton County Schools and Lafayette City Transit System.

Glenda was a member of Heartland Community Church, Rossville Eastern Star and also Oakgrove Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron. She spent her free time quilting, sewing, and painting in her ceramic shop. Glenda loved her family immensely and enjoyed getting everyone together.

Glenda is survived by her daughters; Sheri Fell of Monticello, Wendy (Jean) Lafontant and Julie McDonald both of Delphi; son, Christopher (Christy) Kiger of Lafayette; brothers, Harold (Virginia) Woodruff of Frankfort and Cleo (Betty) Woodruff of Florida; sisters-in-law Mary Woodruff and Janet Woodruff both of Frankfort; grandchildren, Jennifer, Michelle, Sheldon, Tyrell, Seanna, Jeanay, Samantha, Blake, Christiana, Iana, Jacob, Jonathan, and Tiffany; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Kenneth, Fred, and Clinton Woodruff, sisters Sarah Ellen Kingsolver and Wilma Forney, and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service for Glenda will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel with a live stream available at www.gendafuneralhome.com for those who would like to join virtually. Pastor Brandon Smith of Heartland Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Tab, IN. Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
