Glenn A. Cornell, 86, of Frankfort, Ind., died February 22, 2023 at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born on March 23, 1936 in Tippecanoe County to Glenn and Margaret (Larhman) Cornell. He was previously married to June Kay Gipson and they divorced. He married Carol Ann Schmitter in 1968 and she preceded him in death on March 8, 1996. He then married Pansy E. Ellis Webb on January 12, 2002 and she preceded him in death on August 29, 2016.
Glenn was a 1954 graduate of Monitor High School in Tippecanoe County and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked in the automotive industry for over 40 years and at Subaru of Indiana Automotive in Lafayette for 12 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. His other memberships include the Knights of Columbus, Moose Lodge, Eagles, and American Legion. Gle

He is survived by his daughters: Vicki Lynn (companion Frank Piontkowski) Elkins of Lafayette, Lori Ann (Dan) Pickett of Crawfordsville, Natalie Jean (Pat) Griswold of Lafayette, son: Anthony Glen (Holly Cornell) Cornell of Frankfort, brothers: Robert Cornell of Lafayette and John Cornell of Lafayette, 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, spouses and son-in-law, Jim Elkins.
Funeral Services
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main Street, Frankfort, Indiana. Friends may visit from 12 Noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Father Paul Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort.
