Gordon C Dutter, 89, of Rossville, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Carroll County on May 6, 1933, to George and Edna (Blocher) Dutter. He married Norma Yoder on December 17, 1955. She survives.
Gordon was a 1951 graduate of Modesto High School in Modesto California. He worked as a Farmer, farming 3,000 chickens with his family. He also worked in carpentry. He was a member of Middle Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, being active in the church, and spending time with his family.
Along with his wife of 67 years, Gordon is survived by his children, Rochelle (Lowell) Miller, Gail (Maurice) Miller, Brenda (Martin) Boyd, Janet (Ed) Sink, Marlene (Duane) Long, Marleta (Aaron) Brubaker, and Renita (David) Hess; siblings, Ivan (Bonnie) Dutter, Charlotte (Hollis) Flora, Doris (Atlee) Oyler, Marshall (Rosalene) Dutter, Martha (Mike) Meador; 21 grandchildren, and 91 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, David (Jane) Dutter and Georgia Wade; sister-in-law, Myrna Dutter; and brother-in-law, Stan Cook; a grandchild; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held, Monday, January 2, 2023, from 2-5pm and 6-8pm at Middle Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023, 10am at the church.
