Ground Breaking Signals Beginning for One80 Facility

Some members of the One80 Recovery Resources go through a ground breaking ceremony for the new site on Roy Scott Parkway.

The much anticipated One80 Recovery Resources facility got officially underway Thursday afternoon at a ground breaking on the site where the facility will be housed on Roy Scott Parkway.

One80 Board Chairman Rich Reck said this day is very special.

“It means a lot to us and it means a lot to the community,” said Reck. “When we can bring the community together on a project like this… as you can tell a lot of people have absolutely stepped up to help us. It’s all about community. We can stand together and help those who are struggling and help those who really need extra direction and extra help and that’s what One80 is going to do.”

Reck said actual work on the site begins next week.

“Next week, we’ll actually start some of the underground work,” said Reck. “We have a build schedule of nine months. We should be done hopefully in October and actually take our first group of men into the facility in early November.”

Phase One of the project will have 16 beds in the facility. Phase Two will be an additional build out that will lead to 44 more beds to bring them to a total of 60 beds.
