The Frankfort Hot Dogs Alumni Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by the Frankfort Education Foundation, will be held at the Frankfort High School Auditorium on Saturday, January 26, at 2 p.m.
The Frankfort Hot Dogs Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes graduates of Frankfort High School who have achieved extraordinary lifetime accomplishments. This is the second class of the Hall of Fame. Last year, a total of 15 individuals were inducted into the inaugural class. This year’s inductees are as follows:
Charles L. (Chuck) Aidman
Represented by Mike Clossin
Alumni Class of 1942
He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Aidman was a film scenarist and television actor for four decades. He made his film debut in “Destination Space” (1959), followed by Pork Chop Hill (1959). Among his many television credits include appearances on the “Twilight Zone”, “Have Gun Will Travel”, “Bonanza”, “The Wild Wild West”, “All in the Family”, and “The Jeffersons” and in a 1977 episode M*A*S*H.
Dr. Frank Beardsley
Alumni Class of 1943
He graduated from Wabash College and Indiana University Medical School. IN 1955 on his 30th birthday he started his medical practice and spent the next 36 years serving the residents of Frankfort and Clinton County. He was the founder of the Frankfort Medical Clinic. He served as a director of several organizations: His service club was and is Kiwanis. He, along with Bill Waddell, established the Key Club at Frankfort High School in 1966, which is a Kiwanis sponsored service organization for high school boys. He is most passionate about keeping the memory of Everett Case alive.
Lt. Gen. Jay Kelley
Alumni Class of 1959
He enlisted in the Air Force following graduation. He graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and was commissioned in June 1964. He received a Master in Political Science from Auburn University. During his career as a Missile and Space officer, he attended programs at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in England, the Kennedy School, and MIT. On active duty he served as a missile crew commander, base commander, and Wing Commander. On Staff he was assigned as the program officer for re-entry vehicles, a targeting officer for nuclear weapons, and later at the Department of State as the Senior Military Advisor for Arms Control. Major Command assignments included Vice Commander of Space Command, and Commander of the Air University. Gen Kelley was appointed a Sagamore of the Wabash by Governor Evan Bayh in 1994.

She hosted radio and television programs spanning from Indiana to Arizona. In Phoenix, Arizona she was the host for one of the nation’s first female co-hosted radio programs. Upon returning to Indiana, she served as a news anchor and weather forecaster on WXIN before fulfilling the same television roles at WTHR. She was on television while maintaining her presence on WHHH 96.3. After leaving TV, she built upon her work at WHHH and hosted two more successful concurrent radio programs.
