Halloween Festival Scheduled for Parkview Home in October

Parkview Home located at 1501 Burlington Avenue in Frankfort is working with Indiana Ghost Doctors for its Second Annual Halloween Festival which will be held October 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27.

Materials are being requested so they can create some of the Halloween projects. Materials are: 6 – 1/2″ of plywood; 5 cans of liquid foam; 5 – 10 foot x 2×4 board; 1 – 5 pound box of 1/2″ of drywall screws; 1 roll of chicken wire; 10″ zip ties; flood lights; 4 wheel garden cart to haul items; bottled water; candy for kids; tape; trash bags; light bulbs; power cords; hot dogs and buns; along with paper towels and napkins.

Indiana Ghost Doctors has also announced its ‘Terror in the Cellar’ Haunted House schedule at Parkview Home. It is as follows:

Friday, October 12 — Haunted House, 6-11 p.m.

Saturday, October 13 — Pictures with Monsters, 4 p.m., Monster March 5-5:30 p.m., Costume Contest 5:30 p.m., Haunted House 6-11 p.m.

Friday, October 19 — Haunted House, 6-11 p.m.

Saturday, October 20 — Haunted House, 6-11 p.m., Haunted Room Contest, 5 p.m.

Sunday, October 21 — Car Show, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Boy Scouts of America Flag Ceremony, 9:30 a.m., Baking Contest, noon; Chili Contest, 1 p.m.; Pumpkin Painting Contest, 3 p.m.; Scarecrow Contest, 3:30 p.m.

Friday, October 26 — Haunted House, 6-11 p.m.

Saturday, October 27 — Monster Mash Photos Taken, 4:30 p.m., Haunted House, 6-11 p.m.

On the nights of the Haunted House, Indiana Ghost Doctors will be accepting clothing, sheets, pillowcases, coats and non-perishable food for the Salvation Army. Parking will be at TPA Park with a wagon ride taking people from the park to the Haunted House.

All proceeds from these events will go to the Parkview Home Christmas Fund. Also, they will be taking donations for breast cancer.
