Harlan Andrew Clark passed away at Wesley Manor on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the age of 97. Harlan was born on December 17, 1922 in Plainville, Ind. After serving in the Air Force, during WWII for four years as a radio operator on B17’s, he continued his education at Indiana State. He later earned his master’s degree in Education at Butler University.
Harlan spent 41 years in education before retiring in 1989. He served as principal at Clinton Central, Clinton Prairie, and Frankfort High School. During his teaching career, he also coached basketball, baseball, track, and cross country. After retirement, Harlan focused on family and golf.
Harlan married Betty Thompson in 1942. Upon her death in March, they had been married 78 years.
He is survived by one daughter, two grandchildren, and two great grandkids. He will be missed by all.
Services will be private. Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is entrusted with arrangements.
