Harold “Milt” Stewart, 85, of Westfield, Ind., passed away March 5, 2026 at I.U. Arnett North Hospital, Carmel, IN. He was born July 18, 1940 in Frankfort to Harold Eugene & Geneva Mary (Newhart) Stewart. He was formerly married to Marion Garmory.
Milt grew up in Frankfort and was a 1957 graduate of Frankfort High School and attended Indiana University. He was manager of Stewart’s Furniture. He served in the U.S. Army reserve and progressed through to Officer Candidate School. Milt enjoyed fishing.
Milt is survived by two sons, Harold Alexander “Alex” (Beth) Stewart of Indianapolis and John Nicholas “Nick” (Angel) Stewart of Shoreline, WA, sister, Cheryl Lynn Stewart Lushe of Arlington, VA, grandsons, Zander and Eli.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Sharon Kay Stewart Stahly in 2020 and Tara Mae Stewart Evans in 2025.
