Harry J. Sheets, 95, of rural Frankfort, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at his home. He was born October 29, 1922, in Clinton County to the late Harry E. and Nina Marie (Eaton) Sheets. On March 5, 1944, he married Kathleen Kingery; she preceded him in death on October 3, 2012.
A life-long farmer, Harry was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing cards and reading. He, along with his family, had traveled most of the States while Harry and his wife, Kathleen, had taken many tours of different countries.
Surviving Harry are his daughters, Beth Jean Bailey, Virginia K. (Stephen) Larimore, and Janet M. (Paul) Dorsey, all of Frankfort; sisters, Bonnie Kaser, of Frankfort, and Patricia Thompson, of Muncie; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Harry is preceded in death by his son, Jerry Sheets; grandson, Brad Sheets; son-in-law, Bruce Bailey; four brothers, and one sister.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Whitaker officiating.
