Healthy Communities of Clinton County (HCCC) held their Sixth annual Community Baby Shower on Thursday, October 1.In the abundance of caution and preventative health, this year looked a little different as it was a drive thru shower. Faith Family Church allowed HCCC to use their parking lot for this event. Over the course of the two hour event, 61 soon to be or newly moms were served! Each participant received a bag packed full of goodies, educational information from each vendor, cookie and juice, and many other giveaways. HCCC is grateful to all of our sponsors, vendors, and all of our volunteers to make another great event.
Healthy Communities has the Early Start program for women who are pregnant and the Baby and Me Tobacco Free Program for women who are pregnant and smoking, or who were smoking in the three months prior to becoming pregnant. Both programs have some wonderful incentives, including free diapers and wipes for up to a year through the Baby and Me Tobacco Free Program! HCCC also has the Clinton County Family Planning & Reproductive Clinic to serve anyone of child bearing age. Call 765-659-6063 for any of these programs.
