The first “Hell on Hooves” rodeo will kick off Saturday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in Frankfort.
This year marks the first iteration of the proposed annual Clinton County’s “Hell on Hooves” rodeo. Gates open at 3 p.m. for pony rides, trunk-or-treat and food trucks, including El Kora, American Porkers and Barnyard Concessions.
The event presented by South Plains Rodeo Co. will feature an International Pro Rodeo Association rodeo at 5 p.m. for $10 for adults and free of cost for children under 10. The rodeo is expected to include bulls, bareback, saddle bronc, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway, tie down roping and steer wrestling.
The organizers invited the entire community to come together for the rodeo in celebration of a new experience for the community of Clinton County and an enjoyable time for the whole family. The event will run “rain or shine” for families to enjoy the new experiences of the rodeo in their hometown.
“Join us on Oct. 28 for Halloween and Rodeo fun,” the organizers wrote. “Bring the whole family for a night of pro rodeo, trick-or-treating, pony rides, and food truck fun.”
WILO will broadcast the one-stop-shop for Halloween live on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on 96.9 FM, 102.7 FM and 1570 AM. Stay tuned for the organizers to describe the event more on Partyline on Oct. 25.
