Frankfort High School senior Hugo Hernandez placed seventh in the Cougar Cross Country Invitational Saturday at New Prairie High School. Hernandez finished in a time of 17 minutes, 01.4 seconds to lead the Hot Dogs.

Clinton Prairie Volleyball
Clinton Prairie went 1-3 at the Lafayette Jefferson Invitational on Saturday. Prairie lost to Harrison 25-23, 24-26, 15-8; lost to Penn 2-8, 25-12; and lost to Terre Haute South 25-13, 25-18; and defeated Lafayette Jefferson 25-14, 24-26, 15-12. Prairie is now 10-12 on the season.

Frankfort Volleyball
Both the varsity and junior varsity teams fell to Western Boone Thursday night. For the varsity, Lindsey Gay had 15 assists and 14 digs. Chloe Roberts had nine kills and Ashley Timmons had six kills. Bella Colby was a monster at the net with two solo blocks, two block assists and numerous other touches at the net.
For the junior varsity, Grace Campbell had four digs and three aces. Sydni Whitaker had five aces and two kills and Emily Hurless had three kills.
Frankfort Boys’ Tennis
Frankfort fell to county rival Rossville 4-1 Thursday night.

Frankfort Girls’ Soccer
Frankfort dropped a 5-3 decision Thursday on the road against North Montgomery. Frankfort fell behind 3-0 before Maria Alanis scored in the first half and Liz Cruz Sandoval added another to make it 3-2 with 28 minutes remaining. However, North Montgomery was able to score another goal to regain its two-goal lead before Ari Regalado scored for FHS, which is now 3-7-1 overall and 1-2 in Sagamore Conference play.
