A Holocaust survivor turned Hoosier is dead at age 85.
Eva Kor passed away Thursday during a trio to Poland for CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Terre Haute. Kor founded the museum in 1985 after surviving the Auschwitz concentration camp.
The museum will be closed until Tuesday in honor of Kor and public memorial services are being planned.
Kor visited Frankfort earlier this year as she was a guest speaker in the Women’s Expo held at the Frankfort Community Public Library in March.
