Home for the Night Officially Closes

Center Township of Clinton County Trustee Jami Pratt has sent the following letter to Clinton County Daily News for publication regarding the Home for the Night.

“Dear Community,

It is with profound sadness that we share the difficult decision to close Home For The Night. The unwavering generosity and kindness shown by our community through donations over the past two years have been deeply cherished. Despite this incredible support, the financial burdens have proven insurmountable.

We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of compassion and assistance from everyone who has stood by us. Your unwavering dedication has been the guiding light for our mission to provide a safe haven during the coldest nights.

While this closure weighs heavily on our hearts, we are not giving up. Our dedicated team is committed to reorganizing and seeking the necessary funding to hopefully reopen and continue serving those in need, especially during the chilling winter months.

Your continued support, whether through advocacy, contributions, or spreading awareness, remains invaluable to us. Together, we aim to overcome these challenges and resume our vital service to the community.

With sincerest gratitude,
Home For The Night Board”
