Home For The Night Shelter Seeks Community Support Ahead Of Winter Months

Every penny counts to support the Home for the Night Shelter.

The Home for the Night Shelter alongside the Center Township of Clinton County Trustee’s Office released information regarding the winter plans for the shelter that received donations from the community throughout the winter season to remain open during the colder months of the year.

Home for the Night released information regarding its upcoming plans, stating that the shelter was officially closed in January with plans to reopen its doors for the winter season in 2024 to act as a warming center and shelter in Clinton County.

“While this closure has been challenging, we want to assure you that the board has been working diligently to come up with alternatives to support our community during the upcoming winter months,” the organization released. “Thank you for you continued dedication and generosity. Let’s make a difference together.”

The organization released upcoming changes where input and support from the community will be necessary for the organization to prosper, including fundraising efforts and a location search.

The organization announced the planning of fundraisers to generate the necessary funds for the initiatives, such as the National Night Out on the Madam Carroll event featuring Jerod Bolt Music in support of the organization. The organization is currently seeking sponsors for the event.

The organization also announced that the members of the board and staff are currently seeking a suitable location to continue providing shelter and warmth to those in need during the winter months, and community support, input and direction is welcomed from the members as to where a location may be located.
