Hoosier Storytellers Features The Hot Dog Hall Of Fame Tomorrow, July 27

The Frankfort Community Public Library will host its next iteration of Hoosier Storytellers with special appearances from two inductees of the 2024 Frankfort Hot Dog Hall of Fame class tomorrow.

The Hot Dog Hall of Fame returns to the Frankfort Community Public Library tomorrow, Saturday, July 27 at 1 p.m. for the third year members of the Hall of Fame have participated in the Hoosier Storytellers program during the Hot Dog Festival.

The library’s Hoosier Storyteller host Michael Clossin is set to interview 2024 Hall of Fame inductees Travis Kelley and Jodi Skiles Commins. Kelley is noted as a member of the Frankfort High School Class of 1991 and a veteran, serving as a Marine Corps fighter pilot. Commins is noted as a member of the Frankfort High School Class of 1997 and a pediatric hematologist and oncologist at the Riley Hospital for Children.

Alongside the two inductees, Clossin will be joined on stage by Hod Dog Hall of Fame Board President Don Rusk and Board Member Craig Mundell to discuss how the community can nominate deserving members of the Hot Dog family and the recent history of the Annual Alumni Hall of Fame Golf Scramble.

Hoosier Storytellers acts as an ongoing series hosted by Michael Clossin where guests of local interest are interviewed about their unique experiences with the presentations typically lasting an hour, which is followed by a question and answer section from the audience. The interview will be accessible at the Frankfort Community Public Library and will be archived on YouTube and the library website atmyfcpl.org/online/podcasts/hoosier_storytellers.

Registration is not required, and the program is free and open to the public.
