Runners and walkers are invited to take part in the annual Hornet Hustle 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at Rossville Town Park.
The event will take place during the annual Summer’s End Festival, which begins Friday evening and continues throughout the day Saturday. Organizers are encouraging participants and families to make a day of it by joining the race and staying for the festival activities.
The Hornet Hustle will feature an out-and-back paved course, offering participants a scenic and accessible route through the community. Race day registration will be available from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and will be cash only. Packet pickup will also take place on race day before the start of the race.
Awards will be presented to the top two overall male and female finishers, along with first-place awards in each age division.
Age divisions include:
- 0-14
- 15-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60 and over
Registration fees are:
- $30 for pre-registration through July 15, 2026
- $35 from July 16 through August 21, 2026
- $35 for race day registration (cash only)
Participants who pre-register by August 8 will receive a race shirt. Those registering after August 8 are not guaranteed a shirt.
