Hornets Topple Tri-Central

Brayden Thiele-Hahn scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Rossville hung on for a 69-66 Hoosier Heartland Conference over Tri-Central in boys’ basketball action Friday night in Rossville.

Jordan Skiles also reached double figures for the Hornets with 14 points. Caden Wilson and Levi Darnell both added eight points while Charlie Thompson scored six points and had a team-high eight assists.

Rossville outscored the Trojans 19-6 in the second quarter to take a 38-24 halftime lead. However, Tri-Central outscored Rossville 42-31 in the second half to make it interesting.

Rossville Girls Take Down Tri-Central

Ava Burkle led three players in double figures with 15 points as Rossville outscored Tri-Central 19-6 in the fourth quarter on its way to a 46-33 win in girls’ basketball action Friday night in Rossville.

Burkle also had eight rebounds, five steals and five assists.

Allie Elliott scored 12 points and Corntey Huffman added 11 points to go along with her five rebounds, four steals and four assists. Addi Gobett grabbed 12 rebounds for the Hornets.

Lady Hot Dogs Take Halftime Lead; Fall to Western Boone

Frankfort led after a 13-point first quarter and led 20-19 at halftime before Western Boone rallied for a 49-36 Sagamore Conference victory Friday night at Case Arena.

Vannessa Guardado led FHS with 12 points and Saira Flores added eight. Guardado and Flores led the Lady Hot Dogs in rebound with nine each.
