Hot Dog Festival Wood Carving Auction Now Open

The Frankfort Hot Dog Festival wood carving auction is now open, giving the community a chance to own a one-of-a-kind piece of Frankfort Hot Dog Festival history.

Frankfort Main Street is auctioning eight wood carvings created during the Hot Dog Festival. Bidding is open now through November 28 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.

The eight carvings are currently displayed in the windows at Nickel & Rye. Each carving is numbered 1 through 8. The carvings will be moved to different local merchants, with all eight expected to be placed by October 15. They will remain on display through November 28.

To bid, find the individual carving posts on the Frankfort Main Street Facebook page and place a bid in the comments of the original post for the carving of interest. Bids placed on shared posts will not count.

Each carving has its own starting bid and minimum bid increase, which are listed in the individual posts. Bidders are encouraged to check back frequently, as they may be outbid.

The highest valid bid received before bidding closes will win the carving. Winners will be contacted directly by Kim Stevens with instructions for payment through the Frankfort Main Street office and information about pickup.

Bidders can also place bids in person at the Iron Block.

Auction proceeds will benefit Veterans Park renovations.
